The grid has a five-year queue. This site doesn't use it.
Every hyperscale operator in the Southwest is hitting the same wall: the grid can't commit capacity fast enough. This is a private generation site. Your load. Your contract. Your timeline.
4,480 acres of private land. Three energy sources. A geothermal gradient you don't find this close to existing transmission. It's not on a listing site because it's not that kind of deal.
No federal clock. Private land means no BLM, no state agencies in the way. Agreement to ground in weeks, not years.
It's not a tagline. It's what we say no to.

Joe founded Blacktail in June 2022. He began as a wellhead R&D engineer at Cameron (Schlumberger), ran artificial lift sales at The Weir Group, and built Mesquite Technologies from seed through a successful exit to NOV in 2024. He holds an MBA from Rice University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UT Austin.

Tim co-founded Blacktail and runs operations, engineering, and project development. He's spent more than a decade building complex equipment and infrastructure across oil and gas, geothermal, and distributed power — from pressure control and wellhead systems to modular power generation. At Blacktail he leads the geothermal wellhead work, modular ORC power concepts, and project development.
